English 101: Reminders from Class on Monday, November 23

Since we didn’t get to talking about the novel today, I gave you a short writing assignment.  You should write a short response (4-5 paragraphs) where you explain which character from “Turning the Tide” is the real monster.  You should use three specific examples from the novel to support your analysis.

Further, if you’re going to be gone on Wednesday, turn in the homework that’s due as well as the quiz (if you want an excused absence).

If  you’re concerned about your grades for the semester, check Desire to Learn.  You should have a grade for paper 1 & 2, homework 1 & 2, and quizzes 1 – 3.  If anything looks amiss, get in touch ASAP so I can get the error corrected.

You should have received graded versions of these papers, homework assignments, and quizzes; if you’re missing any of them, stop by during office hours to pick them up.

I’ve updated Desire to Learn with your grades.  Take a look at your grades for the semester, and please do let me know if you see anything amiss.  (At this point, you should have received a grade for paper 1 &2, quizzes 1-4, and homework 1 & 2.)
